Snowmobile Trails and Info

East Fork of Baker Creek

Blaine County is excited to be officially managing the Snowmobile Trail Grooming Program. In recent years, the Sawtooth Snowmobile Club managed the grooming program for the snowmobile trails in Blaine County. The trails that are currently being groomed are Silver Creek, Boulder Creek, Baker Creek, Newman Creek, East Fork of Baker Creek, and Norton Creek (all located within the SNRA) as well as the Croy Creek/Rock Creek, Quigley Canyon, and Muldoon Canyon areas. Starting this year, Blaine County has transitioned to in-house management of the program and has hired a team of highly experienced grooming operators to conduct all grooming operations. Chad Sluder, Jobe Board, Brandyn Hurd, and Bryan Baird make up the team as part of the Blaine County Road and Bridge Department and bring more than 20 years of snowmobile trail grooming experience. The team is out grooming trails weekly unless the weather prohibits safe access to the areas. Every attempt is made to also conduct grooming after heavy storms, resources and weather permitting. The trails must have at least an 18-inch base before operating the 2010 Prinoth Snow Groomer in order to ensure an adequate snow base has been set.

Any questions regarding the Blaine County Snowmobile Trail Grooming program can be sent to or by calling 208-788-5543.
