On Monday, February 10, 2020, at approximately 3:14 p.m. Blaine County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a single-vehicle roll-over crash on State Highway 75 near Sage Road, north of Ketchum, Idaho.
The crash scene investigation determined that John Allen Craig, age 64 of Ketchum, Idaho, was driving a silver 2004 Volvo XC70 traveling southbound on Hwy 75 when he failed to negotiate a turn in the road. Craig’s vehicle traveled onto the shoulder of the east side of the road, into the borrow ditch, hitting a snowbank, and rolling towards the driver side approximately two and half times before coming to rest on the vehicle’s roof.
Craig who was wearing a seat belt was transported with serious but non-life threatening injuries to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center. The Volvo received substantial damage. Craig was later cited and released for Driving Without Privileges, I.C. 18-8001, a misdemeanor, and Failure to Provide Insurance, I.C. 49-1232, an infraction.
