On Monday, November 8, 2021, at approximately 7:23 p.m. Blaine County Sheriff deputies responded to a single-vehicle versus sheep collision on Gannett Rd. at Kingsbury Lane, south of Bellevue, Idaho.
Crash scene investigation determined that April Lopez Pina, age 33 of Hailey, Idaho, was traveling south on Gannett Rd., in a blue 2007 Audi Q7, when a large band of sheep came running down Kingsbury Lane onto Gannett Rd. Pina was not able to stop her vehicle before striking a large portion of the band. Pina was uninjured in the accident, but her vehicle received significant damage and was towed from the scene.
It was determined there were 23 deceased sheep at the scene owned by Flat Top Sheep Company. The value of the sheep is unknown at this time.
