On Monday, April 25, 2022, at 1:56 p.m. Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to assist an Idaho State Police Officer with a vehicle that had gone off the road, crashed through a metal railing, and hit a tree on Main St. in Carey, Idaho.
Upon investigation, John Randal Cenarrusa, age 50 of Hailey, Idaho, was arrested for felony Driving Under the Influence, I.C, 18-8004 (1)(A)(F). Cenarrusa has had five prior DUI convictions since 2008. Cenarrusa was also cited with two infractions for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance, I.C. 49-1232, and Driving with an Expired License, I.C. 49-219.
Cenarrusa is in the custody of the Blaine County Detention Center pending arraignment in Magistrate Court Tuesday afternoon. Cenarrusa’s vehicle sustained substantial damage and was towed from the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
