On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at approximately 6:34 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash with injuries on State Highway 75 near milepost 99, south of Bellevue, Idaho.
The crash scene investigation determined that Celia C. Islas-Montes, age 43 of Hailey, Idaho was driving northbound on Hwy 75 in a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with three passengers, ages 23, 6, and 2 years old. The Tahoe reportedly abruptly swerved twice then went up over an embankment and rolled over twice, smashing the engine compartment, windshield, multiple windows, and front top of the passenger compartment. A large tire puncture from a possible blow-out was located on one of the rear deflated tires.
The driver sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center. The three passengers were uninjured. All four occupants were wearing seatbelts. The two-year-old was in a child car seat. The vehicle sustained substantial damage and was towed from the scene.
